Experience the Ultimate in Glamping with a Private Hot Tub at Your RV Site
I love a good soak in a private hot tub, and I love glamping. So it would only make sense to me that RV glamping sites have private hot tubs, right? Well, it turns out — hot tubs at RV sites are not too common. So, if you come across one, book it. Because after a long day of exploring, there’s nothing more satisfying than soaking in your own private oasis (especially when clothing is optional).
So, no more sharing a communal hot tub with other campers, worrying about closing times, kids splashing, or overcrowding. Instead, customize your glamping experience by choosing the water temp, song playlist (here’s ours!), and even the dress code.
RV Resorts and Campgrounds with Personal Hot Tubs
1. Homestead RV Community – Mobile, Alabama
Homestead RV Community is a state-of-the-art RV park and resort tailored for the contemporary RVer. With amenities including fiber optic cable/WiFi, fishing pond, concrete pads, and a pet-friendly environment, every detail has been considered. One of its most noteworthy offerings is the Solo Stove and personal hot tub delivery service, which delivers unparalleled comfort and luxury right to guests’ RV sites. The added bonus of ending the day with a relaxing soak in a hot tub, accompanied by the sound of a crackling fire, is truly an experience.
2. Benton Hot Springs RV Resort – Benton, California
Benton Hot Springs RV Resort is a picturesque destination located in California’s scenic Sierra Nevada foothills. Indulge in a truly extraordinary camping experience at this resort, where luxury and serenity come together. The campground has 12 campsites, each with its own private hot tub, fed by the natural springs. The camping/RV sites do not have hookups (restrooms are onsite) but do come with a picnic table and fire pit, and are pet-friendly. To keep the serene and peaceful feel, no playing of music is allowed at the park. And, for those seeking an even more immersive experience, the hot tubs are clothing optional.
3. Campland on the Bay – San Diego, California
Campland is located directly on Mission Bay, and even has its own secluded beach. It’s centrally located in the Pacific Beach neighborhood of San Diego, near shopping and restaurants, and overlooks SeaWorld. The large resort-style RV park has a ton of amenities — like pools, hot tubs, an arcade, boat rentals, an onsite restaurant & bar. And for the glampers, Campland’s Supersite is the ultimate private RV site. It’s fenced in and has private showers, private laundry (how nice!), a fire pit, a covered porch – and, yes, its own hot tub. You can relax in your secluded and private tub, while taking in a Mission Bay sunset, or maybe catch the fireworks at SeaWorld. It’s also close to the main pools and recreation areas, and just a quick walk from the store, restaurant, dog park, and beach.
4. Mendocino Redwoods RV Resort – Willits, California
Mendocino Redwoods RV Resort offers a serene countryside setting with rolling hills and trees, complete with an “Old West” theme. The resort caters to families (including pets) and aims to provide a memorable experience for all ages. Some of the park amenities include a pool, fishing pond, petting zoo, mini-golf, play tower, arcade, rental bikes, disc golf course, water-spray park, and hiking trails. For those who are looking for a luxurious RV experience, Mendocino Redwoods offers three premium RV sites that come with a private hot tub, a fenced-in patio area with lounge bed, table and chairs, and are conveniently located near all the park’s entertainment.
5. Fort Collins/Lakeside KOA Holiday – Fort Collins, Colorado
The Fort Collins/Lakeside KOA is a family-friendly, and pet-friendly, campground set in the foothills of the Rocky Mountains. The campground features numerous amenities, including 24-hour laundry, bathhouses, a conference center, a fitness room, and a dog park. The campground offers a variety of recreational activities, including paddle boats, hiking trails, on-site fishing in its stocked pond, and horseback riding. The RV park also features a few pull-thru and a few back-in Deluxe RV sites with private hot tubs, as well as patio furniture, a fire pit, wifi, and cable. The sites are a little less private than other parks, so best to keep your clothes on during your soak here.
6. Waterside at Blue Ridge – Blue Ridge, Georgia
Waterside at Blue Ridge is located near Lake Blue Ridge and surrounded by the Chattahoochee National Forest. It’s a tiny home and RV community that offers an abundance of amenities for your next getaway. With a community pool, hot tub, playground, waterfront clubhouse, laundry facility, community kitchen with a wood-fired pizza oven, fire pits, kayak racks, tubing, fishing dock, stocked community lake, disc golf, basketball (whew, that’s a lot for one sentence), you’ll never run out of activities or things to do. The RV resort takes luxury and relaxation to the next level with its private hot tub sites. Some have private pavillions or fireplaces, and one is even located creekside. The resort does have a few RV restrictions (no pop ups) and the resort is pet-friendly, with some breed exceptions.
7. New Orleans RV Resort – New Orleans, Louisiana
New Orleans, a.ka. “The Big Easy,” is a city that combines history, culture, and a laid-back lifestyle. And New Orleans RV Resort (formerly Pontchartrain Landing) embodies that spirit. With its waterfront RV sites and floating rental cabins, you can enjoy breathtaking views of the area – and you’re just a 12 minute drive to the historic French Quarter. The gated-community RV park has a swimming pool, boat launch, dog park, and even an on-site bar and restaurant. And for those seeking a true luxurious experience, the Presidential RV Site is for you. These two exclusive waterfront sites feature a shaded patio, gas grill, fire ring, outdoor kitchen and, of course, a hot tub.
8. Yogi Bear’s Jellystone Park Camp-Resort – Golden Valley, North Carolina
Yogi Bear’s Jellystone Park Camp-Resort Golden Valley is a hidden gem located between Asheville and Charlotte in the Blue Ridge Mountains. The kid-focused RV camp resort offers a range of accommodations, including cabins, cottages, RV sites, glamping tents, treetop cabins, bungalows, and lodges that can accommodate up to 16 guests. With numerous activities such as canoeing, kayaking, fishing, hiking, mountain biking, tennis, basketball, water slides, water zipline, playgrounds, laser tag, and lakeside swings, there’s something for everyone in your group. The pet-friendly campground also has the option to rent private hot tubs, which are delivered directly to your site.
9. Turtle Rock RV Resort – Gold Beach, Oregon
If you find yourself on the Oregon Coast, then Turtle Rock is a must-visit. The pet-friendly RV resort has over 100 RV, cabin, and tent sites. It’s located on Hunter Creek, and a quick walk to the beach (and the iconic “Kissing Rock” formation). The resort even has a restaurant on the property, and a brewery sits just outside of the park. And the best part? Turtle Rock has seven full hook up RV sites featuring a private jacuzzi tub, deck, and grill. We stayed in hot tub site 46, which overlooked the water and is one of the best locations. And, if the hot tub sites are not your thing, the bathhouse has actual soaking bathtubs for use as well.
10. Rush No More RV Resort – Sturgis, South Dakota
Rush No More RV Resort located near downtown Sturgis and downtown Rapid City. It’s also just 90 minutes from Crazy Horse and Custer State Park. Rush No More boasts many luxury sites, including the Presidential RV site — featuring full hook ups, a gas grill, and of course a private whirlpool hot tub spa. During the Sturgis Bike Week, the resort is an ideal destination for bikers looking to relax and unwind. Or maybe even host the party as I’m guessing, the Presidential site is perfect for that.
11. The Ridge Outdoor RV Resort – Sevierville, Tennessee
The Ridge Outdoor RV Resort is a fantastic destination for families looking to enjoy their time together while visiting Pigeon Forge and the Great Smoky Mountains. For those seeking a more luxurious camping experience, the pet-friendly Ridge resort has the waterfront “Signature RV Sites” available. These sites feature all of the amenities of the Premiere Sites (full hookup, level concrete pads, free internet/cable), plus an outdoor wood-burning fireplace, outdoor television, grill, and your own personal, individual hot tub. The Signature Sites are located next to the stocked catch-and-release fishing pond, with large shade trees and a breathtaking view of the resort.
12. Bear Lake/Marina Side KOA Holiday – Garden City, Utah
The Bear Lake/Marina Side KOA Holiday is just a few minutes away from Bear Lake (also known as the Caribbean of the Rockies). With a focus on family fun, this campground definitely does not skimp on the KOA amenities and convenience you have come to know and love — like an outdoor heated pool, gaga ball, camp store, jump zone, and more. The resort features multiple KOA Supersites, featuring a private hot tub, grill, and fire pit. One Supersite (let’s call it the SuperDuperSite) has its own kids’ playhouse, putting green, tent pad, propane grill, privacy fence, and more.
13. Shenandoah Crossing Cabins & RV Resort – Gordonsville, Virginia
If you’re looking for an upscale RV resort stay, you’ve found your destination at Shenandoah Crossing. The resort, inn, and grounds are spread across over 1,000 acres of scenic rolling hills, and boast a stunning 60-acre lake, making it the ideal destination to rest and relax. The resort offers furnished RV sites with patios and summer kitchens, including the luxurious Presidential RV Pad that comes equipped with a personal hot tub and stainless steel barbecue grill. On-site amenities include a general store, an onsite deli, and a tavern for dining and the resort is surrounded by picturesque hiking and bridle trails and offers equestrian activities such as trail rides and carriage rides. Additonally, Shenandoah has an arcade, fitness center, giant chessboard, horseshoe pits, and bike/paddleboard rentals. And your pet is welcome at your RV site.
14. Greybull KOA Holiday – Greybull, Wyoming
The Hot Tub Patio site at the Greybull KOA is a truly unique and luxurious RV camping experience. This site features a concrete pad and patio complete with a private 4-person hot tub, and is partially fenced to provide extra privacy (skinny dipping, anyone?). Additionally, the site has full hookups (50/30 amps), a gas grill, and even a garden swing. It’s a great spot to relax and gather around the fire pit for an evening of s’mores and star-gazing.
Alternative Private Hot Tub RV Sites

Portable Inflatable Hot Tubs
If you can’t find an RV site with a hot tub near you, you could purchase bring your own. Portable inflatable hot tubs, like these tubs, are pretty inexpensive and pack up fairly small. Most RV parks prohibit portable tubs (and I get it – liability, where to empty it, uses extra electric, etc.). Though, we’ve actually stayed at a few parks that allowed them (like this park in Tucson, New Mexico). Oh and Coleman, if you need an inflatable SaluSpa RV hot tub tester, shoot me an email.
As RV Parks and Resorts modernize to keep up with changing customer demands, I think we’ll see an increase in amenities that were not popular just a few years ago. We’re already seeing tech upgrades like WiFi and online booking (yes, the industry is behind on this), to attract the work-from-home and nomads. Next I think we’ll see more unique experiences aiming to attract a wider range of visitors, including luxury travelers. And hopefully, we’ll see more RV parks with hot tubs in the near future.
